Library & ICT

The school library welcomes all students and staff!

During the day there is a teacher-librarian as well as library assistants and IT technicians on duty. The Librarians, vigorously encourage the development of research skills and the promotion of reading.

The library is open from 8.00am to 3.30pm during the school year. It houses an extensive range of resources and is computerised. Including collections of print materials: non-fiction, fiction and reference resources.

We subscribe to World Book On-line Encyclopaedias and World Book Historic Timelines. Students and staff and even their immediate family have 24/7 access within and outside the school site and free access to some Cloud space on the World Book server, in order to save, annotate and distribute articles to their classes.

Our Library also subscribes to e-Platform, an international consortium of e-books, mainly narrative texts and biographies. This affords students and staff 24/7 borrowing access to e-novels etc, all downloadable to computers, tablets and smartphones.

The Library’s Learning Environment has a variety of spaces that are available for class or student groups. Our IT provisions include notebooks, iMac and iPads. The furniture in the library includes student desks, large work tables, discussions lounges and sofas.

Come in and enjoy! Make an effort to visit the Library to meet the Library Staff. There is a lot they can help you with.

Students can visit the library before and after school, as well as at breaktimes.

Hours of opening: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm
On-Line Access:    24 hours/day  7 days/week
