Newsletter
The school newsletter, "The Muse", is the chief means of communication between school and home. As it is very important that parents receive a copy, "The Muse" is published monthly and posted or emailed to parents. The first "Muse" of each term contains a term calendar.

FORMER STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS 2009 |
Top |
The Former Student Scholarship Program was expanded this year to include thirteen scholarships to the highest achieving students in a range of subject areas.
The generosity of former students in supporting this Board initiated program has been well appreciated by both the school and the student recipients.
The Chair and Vice Chair of the School Board, the Mayor of the City of Armadale together with the former students attended a breakfast on Wednesday 11th February.
Former students said they were proud to continue their association with a school which continued to set high standards and “Strive for Excellence”. Speaking on behalf of the scholarship recipients, the Head Boy and Head Girl said that the success of former students of Kelmscott SHS was an inspiration to the current student body.

| Cambodian Sister School | Top |
The school principal, Mr Terry, visited Cambodia during the Christmas vacation with a group of twelve Western Australian Principals to establish a sister school relationship with a school in the poorest area of Cambodia.
The school, Tirom Khet, has ten toilets, two of which are for girls. Girls make up 50% of the population of the 1100 students at the school. The $2000 raised for our sister school through free dress days last year will be used to build an additional four toilets for the girls.
