Anti-Bullying
Overview
Kelmscott Senior High School believes that everyone has the right to feel safe at all times. We declare the whole school environment "Bully Free Zone" and we have a school culture that is committed to the ideals of:
- Resolving conflicts peacefully
- Ensuring all students feel safe and understand their responsibilities
- Clear school rules with understood sanctions are central to the school culture
A key aspect of the Kelmscott Senior High School Anti Bullying Policy is incorporated in a guarantee to students.
All reports of bullying will be treated seriously.
While counselling is an important part of anti bullying processes, sanctions including suspensionare utilised to maintain a friendly environment condicive to learning positive social values.
University Research Project
University research involving private and public schools indicated that Kelmscott Senior High School has effective processes in places to restrict bullying.
