School Farm
The school farm is comprised of an intesnsive 3ha home farm located on the Kelmscott Senior High School campus. The farm provides some fantastic facilities allowing our school to provide Agricultural education to our students, mainly through the Specialist Agriculture Program as well as providing an educational facility available to primary school through the Primary Agriculture Program.
Facilities
- Fenced paddocks with beef and dairy herds, flocks of sheep, emus and goats.
- Nursery where students can feed the animals by bottle and bucket
- "Kelmdome" - custom built facility with seating to display milking, shearing etc.
- Machinery shed displaying a wide range of farm implements
- Chicken Brooder where newborn Chickens are kept (and handled by visitors)
- Garden area providing a vegetable garden and orchard
