Student Perceptions

External consultant Margaret Williams on interviewing Year 11 students asked "What could the school do to help you have a successful year 12?"
"The response to this question was an overwhelming affirmation of everything you are already doing.  Every student said that the school (teachers, administration, facilities, organisation, whatever) was wonderful.  I cannot remember ever encountering such a response in a school before."

Students entering Kelmscott from other schools were particularly fulsome of the praise for  Kelmscott SHS. One boy wrote:
"Before I was just going to school – now at Kelmscott I feel I am receiving an education.
"

A report from a student entering Kelmscott Senior High School from a private school in Year 11 highlights the positive values incorporated within the school ethos:
"The Class of 2007, showed her values of friendship and genuine loyalty and support that was more christian than the students at her previous christian school. The values exhibited by Year 12’s made them a special group."

Parent Feedback

Graham and Naomi Holman, parents of the 2006 DUX wrote in a letter to the school:
"He not only found a school where his academic talents were appreciated and fostered he also found a place where his individuality was respected and he was allowed to develop into the fine young adult he has become today. His academic results under your tutorage are without question but more importantly for us we have a son who has great personal belief and has been exposed to the type of values we all wish our offspring  to engender later in life."
